A unique combination of collagen hydrolysate with calcium, magnesium and phosphorus is responsible for the health of cartilage, ligaments, tendons, indispensable for strengthening the musculoskeletal system. Collagen is an essential component of connective tissue; it is part of cartilage, tendons, ligaments, bones, skin, teeth, blood vessels and averages up to 25% of the total body protein mass.
It is metabolized by the human body only in hydrolyzed form. The collagen hydrolysate contains modified forms of the proline and lysine amino acids – hydroxyproline and oxyline. The receipt of these components leads to the speedy restoration and strengthening of connective tissue, especially after injuries and after the operation period. The collagen hydrolysate is primarily used to correct the nutrition of athletes with high loads on the joints and ligaments for the purpose of prevention and rehabilitation. Collagen synthesis depends on the sufficient presence of vitamin C. When it is deficient, connective tissue is loosened. That is why vitamin C is one of the components of this product. The mix of calcium-magnesium-phosphorus in a ratio of 2: 1: 1 is optimal for the absorption of these minerals, indispensable for strengthening the skeletal muscle system. Vitamin D3 regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body and is responsible for bone integrity. It regulates mineral metabolism and promotes the deposition of calcium in bone tissue. Vitamin D3 maintains the level of inorganic phosphorus and calcium in the blood plasma above the threshold and increases the absorption of calcium in the intestine.
